About steeplechase elementary school
Viox & Viox provided complete site design services and public improvements, including street, sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer, for the construction of Steeplechase Elementary School for the Boone County Board of Education and REH&A Architects.
The Steeplechase Elementary campus covers approximately 19 acres of land in central Boone County and was built in order to help with growth in Boone County.
An existing public street, Grand National Boulevard, was extended approximately 1,300 feet to allow for the construction of the school. In addition, the sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main, electric, gas, cable, and telephone was extended. Viox & Viox worked with the Boone County Board of Education and the local public agencies on the design for all of the public improvements.
Viox & Viox was involved in the project from the planning stages and continued throughout construction. Viox & Viox provided surveying services for boundary and topographic surveys for the project. Viox & Viox also provided site design and permitting services for the new school. The design services included site/campus layout, grading design, and storm water drainage design for the school. In addition, Viox & Viox attended construction meetings and conducted site visits to review construction progress as requested by the owners.
The project was completed in 2021 and opened for the 2021-2022 school year.
