Viox & Viox teamed with Northern Kentucky University’s Center for Applied Ecology for this project involving the restoration of a stream located on the golf course of the World of Golf facility in Florence, Kentucky.  The goal of this project was to drain the existing man-made pond, which had become a maintenance problem for the City of Florence, and restore the natural stream channel. The project included the construction of a new culvert under Woodspoint Drive, controlled drainage of the pond, removal of the dam, relocation of the irrigation pump house and cart path, and the restoration of the natural stream channel including restoration of the banks with native vegetation. This project was completed in 2009.
