The Florence Heights development is located on the east side of Mall Road and is bounded by U.S. 42, I-71/75, and the I-71/75 entrance/exit ramp in Florence, Kentucky. The project infrastructure was funded by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the City of Florence. The Florence Heights development is the site of Costco, Menards, Dave & Busters, Outback Steakhouse, and Chick-fil-a. Included within the site are a new Planet Fitness and the existing Tank Transportation Station, Crossroads Church, and Pep Boys.
Viox & Viox provided all civil engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture services for the City of Florence and KYTC. Services included the redesign and widening of existing Heights Blvd., the design of Heights Blvd. extension to U.S. 42, the design of U.S. 42 turn lanes, storm sewer design to serve the new I-71/75 southbound ramp, City infrastructure extensions (sanitary and water main), traffic signals, design of a new entrance on Mall Road, site development, and all landscape architecture and planting plans.
Viox & Viox also led weekly project meetings for all agencies and the private developer involved in the public improvements. Agencies included KYTC District 6, City of Florence, Duke Energy, TANK, Ohio Valley Electric Corporation, and Anchor Properties.
