Parks are more than just green spaces—they’re places to play, relax, gather, and recharge. At Viox & Viox, we believe in the power of parks to promote well-being, strengthen neighborhoods, and enhance quality of life. This Landscape Architecture Month, we’re celebrating their impact—and the landscape architects who bring them to life.
Our team of Landscape Architects and Landscape Designers specializes in transforming outdoor spaces into purposeful, beautiful, and accessible destinations. Through park master planning, conceptual design, planting plans, design implementation, and construction administration, we ensure every project reflects the unique needs of the community it serves.

Why Parks Matter
Parks enhance quality of life in countless ways. They provide:
- Opportunities for exercise and play
- Spaces for social interaction and events
- Environmental benefits through green infrastructure
- Community identity and a sense of place
- A boost to property values and local economies
Thoughtfully designed parks don’t happen by accident. They begin with a vision—refined through community input and brought to life with a combination of creativity, technical skill, and collaboration.
What Landscape Architecture Brings to Parks
At Viox & Viox, our park designs start with multiple concepts shaped by feedback from clients and stakeholders. These designs often include walking paths, playgrounds, courts, open lawns, shade structures, and seating—all tied together through a cohesive layout and planting plan. Once a concept is chosen, we create visual renderings to communicate the vision clearly.
Our work doesn’t stop at design. We stay involved through construction administration to ensure that what’s built matches what was envisioned—on time, within budget, and with attention to quality and safety.
We also prioritize sustainable practices, including the use of native plantings to promote biodiversity and long-term ecological health.
A Few Parks We’ve Helped Shape
Here are just a few examples of how our landscape architecture team has helped turn everyday green spaces into community landmarks:
Cahill Commons Park – Erlanger, KY

Formerly Rainbow Park, this reimagined community space is now a vibrant, functional, and welcoming destination along one of the city’s busiest streets. The park features a playground, walking path, basketball half-court, restroom facility, boulder play garden, open lawn, seating wall, and more. Viox & Viox led the master planning, land survey, site layout, utility and erosion control design, and cohesive landscape design—including a 2-D rendering to represent the vision plan.
Crossroads Point Plaza – Florence, KY

Located at a key intersection, this gateway green space helps define the Main Street District with a signature clock, masonry features, decorative lighting, and lush landscaping. The open plaza includes irrigation, seating, and green areas designed to reflect Florence’s identity. We’re continuing to assist with future phases as the space evolves.
Bell Park – Florence, KY

Situated across from the Historic Main Street Fire Station, Bell Park acts as a symbolic and literal gateway to Main Street. This pocket park includes a bell-shaped plaza, a history garden with interpretive storyboards, a custom gateway sign, and event space. Our services included surveying, civil engineering, landscape architecture, 2-D and 3-D renderings, construction documents, and administration.
Kentaboo Park – Florence, KY

A suburban neighborhood park brought to life through comprehensive planning and community collaboration. Amenities include a restroom facility, sport court, playground, shelter, passive play lawn, site furniture, lighting, and signage. Viox & Viox provided full design and construction services to ensure a park that fits seamlessly into its surrounding community.
Silverlake Park – Erlanger, KY

One of the city’s most frequented parks, Silverlake Park has undergone a major transformation with a refreshed master plan and phased construction. Highlights include revitalized sports fields, new restroom and shelter facilities, resurfaced courts, a new playground, improved access and parking, and enhanced landscaping. Our team handled surveying, design, construction documents, and on-site coordination throughout the project.
At Viox & Viox, we’re proud to create parks that do more than just look great—they serve as lasting assets that enhance everyday life. Whether it’s a pocket park or a large-scale community destination, our landscape architects approach every project with intention, expertise, and a deep appreciation for the spaces that bring people together.
This Landscape Architecture Month, we celebrate the power of parks—and the design professionals who help them flourish.
